DHAKA, July 25, 2026 ( BSS) - Police arrested 29 people in separate special operations conducted by the Jatrabari, Turag and Banshal police stations of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

According to a DMP press release, Jatrabari Police arrested 16 suspects during raids carried out in crime-prone areas under the police station on Friday.

The detainees include accused persons in regular criminal cases, warrant suspects and individuals allegedly involved in various offences.

In a separate operation on the same day, Turag Police arrested six people from different crime-prone areas within its jurisdiction.

Meanwhile, Banshal Police arrested seven suspects during similar drives conducted across its police station area.

Police said the arrested individuals include accused in pending cases, warrant-listed fugitives and persons allegedly involved in various criminal activities.

Legal proceedings against the detainees are underway.
