DHAKA, July 23, 2026 (BSS) - The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) organized a colourful rally and an awareness meeting at Rampura Police Station to encourage citizens to complete the Citizen Information Management System (CIMS) forms as part of the nationwide CIMS Form Completion Week.

The programme, held on Wednesday morning in Beat No. 5 under Rampura Police Station, began with a rally from Hajipara Petrol Pump, passed through major roads in the area, and concluded at Taltala Super Market.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Khilgaon Zone) Toufiq Ahmed attended the event as the chief guest.
    
The awareness meeting that followed was chaired by the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rampura Police Station.

Speakers at the meeting highlighted the importance of the CIMS initiative, saying that maintaining accurate citizen information would help prevent crime, strengthen law enforcement and enhance public safety.

They urged residents to complete the CIMS forms within the designated period and cooperate with the police in implementing the programme.

The event was attended by Kamal Ahmed Dulu, member secretary of the Rampura Police Station Community Policing Committee, along with local political and social leaders, police officials, community policing members, elected representatives and residents from different walks of life.

According to DMP, CIMS Form Completion Week is being observed from July 21 to July 27, 2026, to raise public awareness and encourage wider participation in the citizen information database initiative.
