57 held in anti-crime crackdown in Tejgaon

DHAKA, July 22, 2026 (BSS) - The Tejgaon Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 57 people in separate operations conducted across crime-prone areas of the capital as part of its regular anti-crime drive.

According to a DMP press release issued on Wednesday, the arrests were made on Tuesday during coordinated raids targeting individuals allegedly involved in various criminal activities.

Among those arrested, three were held by Tejgaon Police Station, 10 by Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, 28 by Mohammadpur Police Station, five by Adabar Police Station, seven by Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station and four by Hatirjheel Police Station.

Police said all the arrested individuals have been produced before the appropriate court for further legal proceedings.

The DMP said the regular operations will continue as part of its efforts to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities across the capital.
