DHAKA, July 21, 2026 (BSS) - The government today appointed Superintendent of Police (SP) of the Anti Terrorism Unit (ATU) Abu Ashraf as the new SP of Pabna.

The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification in this regard today.

Abu Ashraf has been posted to Pabna while the district's outgoing SP, Md Sufi Ullah has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as Special SP, said the notification.

The order was issued in the public interest and takes immediate effect, the notification added.
