DHAKA, July 13, 2026 (BSS) - Police have arrested a fugitive wanted in 11 criminal cases, including four conviction warrants, after tracking him down with the help of technology and local intelligence.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said 47-year-old Md. Mofizur Rahman Liton was arrested on Sunday from the Basabo area by a team from Paltan Model Police Station.

Police said Liton had been evading arrest for a long time by keeping his mobile phones switched off and frequently changing locations. 

He was traced through information technology and local sources.
