DHAKA, July 12, 2026 (BSS) – Police arrested a total of 28 people  
in separate anti-crime operations carried out by the Mirpur Model police station area of the capital today. 

According to a Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) press release issued, the arrested were on outstanding arrest warrants and regular cases.

The release said that police produced them before the court after taking legal procedure.

It said the arrested are Md Sagar (24), Md Gias Uddin (35), Satir Mia (35), Md Alamgir (45), Md Hadis Mia (38), Md Russell Mia (28), Md Arif (20), Md Yasin Sardar (20), Md Masud Rana (24), Md Imran Hossain (24), Md Sohag Howlader (32), Md Nurnabi (30), Md Masuk Elahi (22), Md Russell (22), Md Munna (24), Abu Bakr (22), Md Mubarak (19), Md Ayan Sheikh (18), Shakkur Ali (20), Md Saymon (19), Md Abdul Bashar (18), Manjurul Anwar (26), Md Alam (19), Md Gaus Chowdhury (28), Md Sohag (24), Md Jasim Sheikh (44), Md Abdur Razzak (26) and Md Rubel Howlader (31).

Police said such special drives will continue to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities in the area.
