DHAKA, July 9, 2026 (BSS) - The National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) today held a consultation meeting with owners of printing presses from across the country on issues related to textbook printing.
Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon attended the meeting as the chief guest.
Prime Minister's Education Adviser Dr Mahdi Amin and Education Secretary Abdul Khaleque were present as special guests.
NCTB Chairman Professor Mohammad Fakhrul Mawla presided over the meeting.
During the discussion, the press owners shared their views on the existing problems, challenges and possible solutions related to the implementation of the textbook printing programme.
The Education Minister listened attentively to the views of the participants and provided necessary directives aimed at finding practical solutions after giving due consideration to the issues raised.
The meeting stressed the importance of ensuring the quality of textbook printing, completing the work within the stipulated timeframe, strengthening coordination among all stakeholders and working collectively to ensure that quality textbooks reach students on time.
The NCTB expressed hope that enhanced cooperation and coordination among the government, the board and printing institutions would make the textbook printing programme more dynamic and effective, ensuring the timely supply of quality textbooks to students.
