DHAKA, July 7, 2026 (BSS) - The Tejgaon Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 59 individuals in a series of regular anti-crime operations conducted across different crime-prone areas of the capital.
According to the Tejgaon Division, the drives were carried out on Monday as part of DMP's ongoing efforts to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities.
Among those arrested, four were apprehended by Tejgaon Police Station, 11 by Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, 21 by Mohammadpur Police Station, 11 by Adabar Police Station, seven by Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station and five by Hatirjheel Police Station.
Police said the detainees were arrested on charges of various criminal offences.
All of them have been produced before the court for further legal proceedings.
The DMP said such regular operations will continue to ensure public safety and strengthen law enforcement across the capital.
