CHATTOGRAM, July 7, 2026 (BSS) - Despite the persistent rain and strong winds, Chattogram Port Authority (CPA) Chairman SM Moniruzzaman has been overseeing the operational activities at Chattogram port on-site.
He conducted inspections in various critical areas of the port and provided necessary directives to the relevant officials. He personally assessed the port's conditions despite the severe weather and evaluated the overall situation today.
During his inspection, the chairman sought information regarding the port's security measures, operational activities, and the status of waterlogging.
Simultaneously, he instructed the relevant officials to exercise maximum caution to ensure the smooth functioning of port operations in spite of the challenging weather and to implement immediate actions to address any potential disruptions.
At that moment, he stressed the importance of maintaining the port's security and extending all possible support to the Chattogram City Corporation to alleviate the waterlogging issue.
