DHAKA, July 6, 2026 (BSS) – Dhaka Deputy Commissioner (DC) Farida Khanom today warned that stern legal action would be taken against those found spreading rumours of question paper leaks to create public confusion or disrupt the examination environment.
“Immediate legal action will be taken against anyone found spreading rumours of question paper leaks through social media or any other platform to create confusion. People should not pay heed to such misinformation and should refrain from sharing any unverified information,” she said.
Farida made the remarks while speaking to journalists after inspecting the HSC and equivalent examination centre at Siddheswari Girls' College in the capital this morning.
The deputy commissioner said the administration had made all-out preparations to ensure the examinations were held in a fair, peaceful and malpractice-free environment.
She said executive magistrates, members of law enforcement agencies and other officials concerned were on duty round the clock at every examination centre.
“All necessary support has been ensured so that the examinees can sit for their examinations without any disruption. We seek the cooperation of guardians, teachers and all concerned in maintaining a fair and conducive examination environment,” the deputy commissioner said.
