Dhaka, July 6, 2026 (BSS) - The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 363 people in its regular anti-crime operations across the capital over the past 24 hours and filed 60 cases during the same period.

According to a DMP press release, the arrestees included 20 from the Ramna Division, 21 from Lalbagh Division, 49 from Wari Division, 63 from Motijheel Division, 50 from Tejgaon Division, 69 from Mirpur Division, 41 from Gulshan Division, 42 from Uttara Division, and eight by the Detective Branch (DB).

During the drives, police recovered 86.5 kilograms of cannabis, 7,977 yaba tablets, five knives, one pair of scissors, two stainless steel pipes, and three sticks from the possession of the suspects.

The arrests were made during coordinated operations conducted by DMP's crime and detective units in different police station areas across the capital.

Legal proceedings against the arrested individuals are currently underway.
