DHAKA, July 6, 2026 (BSS) - Police arrested 18 people in a special anti-crime drive conducted in Jatrabari Police Station area of the capital on Sunday as part of ongoing efforts to maintain law and order.

According to police, six of the arrestees were wanted in warrant cases, six were detained through mobile court proceedings, and the remaining six were arrested under Section 54 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, said a press release.

The operation was carried out in different parts of the Jatrabari area targeting individuals allegedly involved in various criminal activities.

All the arrested individuals have been produced before the competent court for further legal proceedings.
