DHAKA, July 5, 2026 (BSS) – Mirpur Model Police today arrested 26 people involved in various criminal activities during a special operation conducted across the Mirpur area of the capital. 

According to a police press release, they were held in connection with regular criminal cases, outstanding arrest warrants and other criminal activities. 

The arrested are Dalim Mollah (22), Sumon Islam Masud (20), Zia (34), Aminul Islam (50), Bulbul Mia (35), Md Zakir (39), Raju (27), Md Sohel Rana (22), Md Raju (19), Md Alamin (26), Md Rafiqul Islam (30), Md Yusuf (50), Shihab Mollah (23), Md Siraj (19), Md Touhidul Islam Sajib (21), Md Kamrul Islam (25), Md Alamgir Hossain (45), Mishar Kumar Pal (24), Md Mahfuz (20), Md Shahin alias Babu (24), Md Liton Gazi (43), Md Rohel (24), Apon Hossain (26), Mosharraf Hossain Mehedi (26), Anwar Hossain Chowdhury and Md Yasin Ahmed (22).

Police said such special drives will continue to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities in the area.
