DHAKA, July 5, 2026 (BSS) - Uttara West Police arrested 25 people involved in various criminal activities during a special operation conducted in the Uttara West area of the capital on Saturday.
 
According to a police press release, they were held in connection with regular criminal cases, outstanding arrest warrants and other criminal activities. 

The arrested are Md Imran Sheikh (34), Md Abid Hossain (23), Md Rana (42), Md Shakib (24), Md Miraj (29), Md Jaruhul Islam (50), Md Rakib (26), Md Billal 
Mia (42), Md Emdadul (40), Md Riaz (47), Shahariar Nafis Shanto (20), Md Shiblu (36), Md Ishaq Mia (43), Abul Kalam (46), Md Sajib Sikder (24), Bahadur Sheikh (36), Rabiul Islam (25), Md Tanvir Hossain (19), Md Tarek Hossain (30), Md Ibrahim Morol (27), Md Jewel Ahmed (35), Md Mehedi Hasan (25), Md Korban (19), Md Arif Khan (32) and Md Moktar (48), it said today. 

Police said such special drives will continue to maintain the country's law and order and curb criminal activities in the area. 

The arrested individuals have been produced before the relevant court following the completion of legal formalities.
