KHULNA, July 4, 2026 (BSS) - Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Gani today inspected the Khulna Shipyard Road Widening and Development Project to review its implementation progress.

During the visit, he inspected the project's main road, four sluice gates, the project area map and the bridge under construction at the entrance to the Rupsha Bridge. 

He also spoke with local residents to hear their views on the project.

Later, the Cabinet Secretary attended a review meeting on the Khulna Shipyard Road Widening and Development Project (Third Revised) at the Khulna Circuit House.

Earlier in the day, he planted a tree sapling on the circuit house premises.

The meeting was attended by Housing and Public Works Secretary Md Nazrul Islam, Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) Secretary Sirajun Noor Chowdhury, Khulna Divisional Commissioner Md Abdullah Harun, Deputy Commissioner Hoore Jannat, Khulna City Corporation Administrator Nazrul Islam Manju, Khulna Development Authority Chairman S.M. Shafiqul Islam, Project Director Md Arman Hossain, and officials of the divisional and district administrations and the Khulna Development Authority (KDA).
