NATORE, July 04, 2026 (BSS)- State minister for social welfare Farzana Sharmin today said that the government will ensure visible development of the country. 

“To this end, implementation of the government's effective steps has begun,” she said while speaking as the chief guest at a distribution programme of agricultural incentive materials among marginal farmers at the Lalpur Upazila Parishad auditorium in the district.

The State Minister said that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is working day and night by coming to the people to improve their living standard.

She added, “The public's perception of the government is not positive. This attitude among the people has been established due to various policies and misrule of past governments. We want to restore the people's due rights and dignity and ensure good governance.”

Mentioning the irregularities or corruption in the development activities, the State Minister said, “If any leader or activist of the party is involved in such irregularities, action will be taken. Government officials must be responsible in conducting the government's development activities.”

Upazila Executive Officer Barkat Ullah chaired the event while Upazila Agriculture Officer Pritam Kumar Hore, former Mayor of Gopalpur Municipality Nazrul Islam Mollah, and former Chairman of Lalpur Upazila Parishad Harunur Rashid Pappu spoke among others.
