DHAKA, July 4, 2026 (BSS) - Jatrabari Police arrested 25 people during a special operation conducted across the Jatrabari area of the capital on Friday.

Six of the arrestees were held in connection with regular criminal cases, three in pending cases, two on outstanding arrest warrants and 14 under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Ordinance, said a police press release.

The arrestees are Md Monirul Islam (24), Debashish Roy (41), Md Russell Hossain (36), Bilton Dey (32), Mamun Peda (36), Md Masud Howlader (25), Arif Khan (28), Shakil (26), Md Sajjad Hossain Zebin (30), Md Jahangil Alam Sujan (35), Md Nazrul Islam (32), Md Rabbi (30), Md Rabbi alias Dibba Rabbi (27), Md Omar Farooq (21), Mehedi Hasan Ashiq (21), Munna (21), Rafi (19), Arif (24), Rakib Hossain (25), Md Roni, Rabbi (19), Hridoy Khan (27), Md Mahin (32), Abul Keramat Md Jonayed, and Md Raihan.

Police said all those arrested were produced before the court after completion of the required legal procedures.
