The DSS has instructed Sonali Bank PLC to transfer the funds to the designated accounts in line with district, upazila and unit-wise allocations.

The department said the allocated money has already been deposited into the revolving fund account of the RSS Programme at Sonali Bank PLC's Local Office in Motijheel.

From there, the funds will subsequently be disbursed to social services offices across districts and upazilas.
Necessary instructions have been issued to the Deputy General Manager of the bank's Local Office to facilitate the transfer process.

Divisional directors, district social services offices and upazila social services officers have also been informed.

The order further directed district social services offices to send acknowledgements to the DSS after the funds are credited to the respective bank accounts.

It also instructed the Finance and ICT branches to publish the order on the department's website.

RSS Officials said the programme provides low-interest revolving loans, training and skill development support to encourage self-employment among disadvantaged groups.

The programme has been playing a positive role in promoting income-generating activities among landless people, marginal farmers, women, widows, persons with disabilities and other financially vulnerable groups.
