DHAKA, July 4, 2026 (BSS) - Hossain Uddin (Malachan), father of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Senior Reporter Md Rafiqul Islam, died of a heart attack at Gazaria Health Complex in Munshiganj early today.

He was 66, family sources said.

He left behind his wife, two sons, three daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Rafiqul said his father had been visiting Gazaria in Munshiganj for religious purposes. He suffered a heart attack at around 2 am and was taken to Gazaria Health Complex, where he breathed his last at around 4 am.

He will be laid to rest at his family graveyard in Purba Gobaria under Kuliarchar upazila of Kishoreganj following Namaz-e-Janaza at 2:30 pm.
