DHAKA, June 27, 2026 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Friday arrested 63 people allegedly involved in various crimes in the capital.

The arrests were made during a day-long special drives conducted by DMP yesterday in different parts of the capital, according to a DMP press release issued here today.
 
Among the arrestees, there was one non-listed extortionist while 13 were arrested on charges of terrorism, hijacking and robbery, and 39 others for alleged drug trafficking.

Police said such drives will continue to maintain public safety and law and order, the release added.
