DHAKA, June 21, 2026 (BSS) – The government today withdrew Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Sylhet Md Sarwar Alam and attached him to the Ministry of Public Administration (MoPA) as deputy secretary.

The ministry of public administration today issued a notification in this regard here, signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Jati Prue.

According to the notification, the order issued for public interest will come to effect immediately.

Srwar Alam was posted in Sylhet as DC and district magistrate on August 18 last year.
