DHAKA, June 21, 2026 (BSS) – The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed a total of 1,606 cases in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules.

The cases were filed on June 20, a DMP press release said here today.

During the drive, the Traffic Ramna Division filed 62 cases, Lalbagh Division 142 cases, Motijheel Division 406 cases, Wari Division 125 cases, Tejgaon Division 106 cases, Mirpur Division 323 cases, Uttara Division 324 cases, and Gulshan Division 118 cases.

A total of 358 vehicles were impounded and 380 others were towed, the release added.

It further said that such drives will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka’s streets.
