DHAKA, June 18, 2026 (BSS) – The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed a total of 2,086 cases in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules.

The cases were filed on June 17, a DMP press release said here today.

During the drive, the Traffic Ramna Division filed 91 cases, Lalbagh Division 145 cases, Motijheel Division 503 cases, Wari Division 201 cases, Tejgaon Division 151 cases, Mirpur Division 369 cases, Uttara Division 407 cases, and Gulshan Division 219 cases.

A total of 387 vehicles were impounded and 445 others were towed, the release added.

It further said that such drives will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka’s streets.
