DHAKA, June 18, 2026 (BSS) – The Dhaka Customs House has issued a special e-auction notice for the sale of various goods stored at the Airfreight Unit, Express Service Unit and state warehouses under Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport as part of its efforts to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen security and prevent wastage of state resources.
According to a press release issued by the National Board of Revenue (NBR) today, the auction initiative has been undertaken to increase the functionality and capacity of the Airfreight and Express Service Units, mitigate emerging security risks, ensure physical and financial security, safeguard lives and property, and prevent the deterioration of government-owned goods.
Interested bidders have been invited to participate in the auction through the e-auction website. The goods will be sold on an “as it is, where is” basis, said an NBR press release.
In line with Special Order No. 26/2026/Customs issued by the NBR, bids received in the first auction round will be evaluated, and each lot will be awarded to the highest bidder irrespective of the reserved price.
Prospective bidders may register and submit bids online from 9:00 am on June 19, 2026 until 1:00 pm on July 2, 2026 through the e-auction platform available via the websites of Bangladesh Customs, Dhaka Customs House and the National Board of Revenue.
The NBR said the entire auction process will be conducted digitally to ensure transparency and accountability. To make the auction more competitive, bidders will have the opportunity to physically inspect the goods before placing online bids.
In addition to online participation, bidders will be required to submit pay orders for security deposits and other necessary documents in designated tender boxes. Successful bidders must clear the goods in compliance with the applicable provisions of the Import Policy Order 2021-2024.
Information regarding participating bidders will be disclosed at 3:00 pm on July 2, 2026 at the conference room of Dhaka Customs House through the e-auction software system.
The NBR requested interested bidders to visit the e-auction portal for detailed information regarding the auction process.
The revenue board said such auction activities will continue as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the operational efficiency and capacity of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
