DHAKA, June 14, 2026 (BSS) - Four more children died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours, while the total number of patients recorded during the period stood at 1,127, according to a press release issued today by the Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to the release, the number of suspected measles cases recorded in the last 24 hours was 1,052, while the total number of suspected measles cases from March 15 to June 14 reached 85,951.
During the last 24-hour period, 75 confirmed measles cases were reported, raising the total number of confirmed cases since March 15 to 10,323.
From March 15 to June 14, a total of 70,579 patients with suspected measles were admitted to hospitals. During the same period, 66,840 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals.
No death from confirmed measles was reported in the last 24 hours. Since March 15, the total number of deaths from confirmed measles has stood at 92.
Four deaths among suspected measles patients were reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths from suspected measles since March 15 to 560.
So far, the highest number of suspected measles cases, 39,898, has been reported in Dhaka Division. Of them, 7,117 cases have been confirmed as measles.
