DHAKA, June 11, 2026 (BSS) -Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Hafiz UddAhmadin , 
Bir Bikram, today congratulated the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) following 
Bangladesh's historic One-Day International (ODI) series victory over 
Australia.

Bangladesh secured the three-match series with a game to spare after 
defeating Australia by five wickets under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) 
method in the second ODI at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium here 
today.

The Tigers had earlier won the opening ODI by 86 runs, taking an unassailable 
2-0 lead in the series.

In a congratulatory message, the Speaker extended his greetings to the 
players, coaching staff and all others associated with the Bangladesh 
national cricket team for the remarkable achievement.

He expressed the hope that the team would continue its winning momentum and 
bring further success for the country in international cricket.

The series triumph is a landmark achievement as Bangladesh had secured its 
first-ever bilateral ODI series victory against Australia in the country's 
cricket history.
