DHAKA, June 11, 2026 (BSS)- The government has assigned Deputy Secretary Masudur Rahman to oversee oversee the implementation of the Farmer Card programme.

In view of this the service of Masudur Rahman has been attached to the Agriculture Ministry, Public Administration ministry notification said.

Prime Minister Tareque Rahman formally inaugurated the Farmer Card programme on the first day of Bengali New Year (Pohela Boishakh) on April 14, 2026.

The Farmer Card is a government digital identification and service-based initiative aimed at government support to the landless, marginal and small-scale farmers.

So far Farmer Card was given to 22,000 farmers in 11 upazilas of 10 district.
