MYMENSINGH, June 10, 2026 (BSS) -  Mymensingh District Council Administrator Syed Emran Saleh Prince today said the government funds belong to the people as these come from taxpayers’ money and any waste of such funds will not be tolerated.

Speaking as the chief guest at a project review meeting of the district council at Gauripur Upazila of the district, Prince said in previous years government money had been wasted and misappropriated in the name of development.

“We want to move away from the culture of plunder and work for the people,” he said and highlighted the plans to support the construction of mosques, madrasas, schools, colleges and rural roads, as well as to provide training opportunities aimed at improving employment prospects for the young people.
