DHAKA, June 06, 2026 (BSS) – A total of 21 suspected criminals involved in various criminal activities were arrested during special drives conducted by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) from city’s Jatrabari and Mugda areas.

“They were involved in various crimes under Jatrabari and Mugda Police Station areas,” said a press release issued by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) media division here today.

It said that Jatrabari Police Station conducted a special operation in various crime-prone areas on Friday and arrested 10, while Mugda police arrested 11 from its jurisdiction.

The DMP press release said that police produced them before the court.

Jatrabari Police Station arrested Md Ripon Mia alias Robin (50), Md Sabbir (31), Md Abu Jar Gaffari (51), Helal alias Sagar (27), Md Rabiul Awal Tushar (32), Md Alauddin (41), Md Abdullah Nazrul (55), Sheuli Akhter (45), Md Shamim (48) and a teenager.

Mugda Police Station also arrested 11 suspected criminals including Aleya Begum (40), Md Tausif Hossain Sajib (19), Pranta Chandra Das (23), Rifat Islam (23), Didarul Islam Binoy (25), Md Shanto (26), Md Shafiq (22), Md Rakib Hossain (19), Md Zahid Hasan Hridoy (27), Md Emon Hossain (25) and Babul Hossain Babu (35).
