DHAKA, June 4, 2026 (BSS) - Members of law enforcement agencies, particularly the police, arrested 28 suspected criminals during a special operation in the capital's Jatrabari area.

Police from Jatrabari Police Station conducted the operation in various crime-prone areas on Wednesday and arrested the suspects, according to a press release issued today.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said the arrestees were produced before a court.

The arrestees include Rishat Laskar (27), Md Alamin Sharif (42), Md Rinku, Md Russell, Md Nayan Mia (29), Md Faisal Ahmed (27), Md Aman Ullah (42), Md Sohag (28), Md Riaz (27), Khairul (26), Md Shahin Hossain (20), Md Faisal Hossain (22), Md Rabbi (30), Md Jahangir alias Bulu (35), Md Farooq (19), Md Rahul (19), Md Shaheen (19), Md Roman (20), Md Ratul (19), and Md Shanto (19).
