MYMENSINGH, May 26, 2026 (BSS) - On behalf of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, financial assistance was distributed as Eid gifts among 650 low-income and underprivileged families in the district today.
 
Abu Wahab Akand Wahid, Member of Parliament from Mymensingh-4 (Sadar) constituency, distributed the assistance at his residence in Baganbari area of Mymensingh city this afternoon.
 
During the programme, Eid-ul-Azha greetings were also exchanged with the beneficiaries. The recipients expressed their gratitude to the Prime Minister for the support ahead of the holy festival.
 
Speaking at the event, MP Abu Wahab Akand Wahid said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has undertaken various humanitarian initiatives to make the country's low-income communities self-reliant. 

He added that the Eid gifts were distributed to share the joy of Eid-ul-Azha with underprivileged people.
