DHAKA, April 12, 2026 (BSS) - Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested four alleged criminals along with illegal firearms and ammunition from Sadar upazila of Pabna early today.

The arrestees were identified as Ali Rohan Raka, 21, son of Md Abul Kalam Azad, Md Akash Pramanik, 22, son of late Azizul Pramanik, Abdus Salam Thandu, 52, son of Hossain Pramanik and Md Sirajul Islam, 30, son of Abdul Qader. 

All are residents of the Bilbheduria areas under Pabna sadar police station of the district.

According to a RAB press release, a joint team of RAB-10's CPC-3 Faridpur Camp and CPSC Lalbagh Camp, with support from RAB-12, conducted a drive around 3:00am in Haribaria and Bilbheduria areas under Pabna Sadar Police Station, acting on a tip-off.

During the operation, the force arrested four individuals and seized one locally made one-shooter gun, two shooter guns, one revolver and 16 rounds of cartridges.

RAB said the drive was part of its ongoing efforts to curb illegal arms and criminal activities.

Legal action against the arrestees is underway, the release added.
