DHAKA, April 11, 2026 (BSS) - State Minister for Road Transport and Highways
Division and Railways Ministry Habibur Rashid has said the young generation
of the country must grow up as responsible citizens to build a developed and
prosperous nation.
He said the remarks as the chief guest at Haidar Ali School and College in
the Manda-Mugda area of the capital today.
The state minister assured full government support in improving the
educational environment and infrastructures.
Habibur Rashid said he was elected as a Member of Parliament (MP) from the
area in the February 12 election with the votes of the people, and this was
his first visit to the institution after the election.
Expressing gratitude to the voters, he said their support inspires him to
work more responsibly in advancing the country's development activities.
The state minister said Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman had visited the
institution in 1980, which is a matter of pride for the educational
establishment.
Building the future generation in line with the vision of Shaheed President
Ziaur Rahman, the ideals of Begum Khaleda Zia and under the leadership of
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is the goal of the government.
Local BNP leaders and activists, teachers, students, guardians and
journalists were present, among others, on the occasion.
