DHAKA, Feb 26, 2026 (BSS) - Principal Information Officer (PIO) of the government’s Press Information Department (PID) Md Nizamul Kabir today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of former information officer Khalil Ahmed.

   According a statement issued by his office Kabir prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family also recalling his outstanding contributions to various activities of the Directorate of Information.

   Khail Ahmed breathed his last in Dhaka last night at the age of his 78. 

   He was laid to eternal rest at Azimpur Graveyard after Zohr prayers after his namaj-e-janaza at a local mosque in Agargaon.
