DHAKA, Feb 25, 2026 (BSS) – Detective Branch (DB) of police under Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested a female drug trader with 2,000 pieces of yaba tablets from the city’s Motijheel area. 

The arrested is Yeasmin, 43, and Md Akib Mia, 26. 

A DB team of Motijheel Division conducted a special operation in Kamalapur area at about 7:55pm last night and seized the yaba tablets, according to a press release issued by the DMP’s media and public relations division here today.

Legal action is underway against the arrested person.
