DHAKA, Feb 23, 2026 (BSS) - A court here today imposed a travel ban on former 
additional deputy commissioner (ADC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) SM 
Shiblee Noman over graft charges.
 
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order, 
allowing a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
 
The allegations against SM Shiblee Noman, including gold smuggling, casino 
business, corruption, abuse of power, and acquiring assets beyond known 
sources of income, are currently under investigation at the headquarters of 
the Anti-Corruption Commission, according to the petition. 
 
"Reliable sources have revealed that SM Shiblee Noman is still in the country 
and is attempting to leave for another country. Therefore, to conduct a fair 
and proper investigation, it is essential to impose a ban on his travel to 
abroad," it added.
