DHAKA, Feb 22, 2026 (BSS) – Former and current leaders of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal held a doa mahfil today seeking the speedy recovery of BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

The mahfil took place at the central mosque of Bangladesh Medical University (PG Hospital).

Prayers were also offered for the eternal peace of the souls of BNP founder Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

Speakers said Rizvi, who played an active role in the movement for Khaleda Zia’s release and stayed at the party’s Nayapaltan office for 787 consecutive days, fell ill with viral pneumonia on February 10.

Teachers, physicians, and party leaders attended the mahfil and prayed for his speedy recovery.
