JESSORE, Feb 21, 2026 (BSS)- State Minister for power, energy, and mineral resources Anindya Islam Amit has asked the civil servants to discharge their duties with utmost professionalism and competence.
“Political affiliation is not the identity of a civil servant. Their efficiency and performance truly define them. Officials must perform their duties impartially and responsibly to fulfill public expectations and needs,” he said.
The state minister was speaking as the chief guest at an exchange meeting with the heads of various government offices in the district at Jessore Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall.
Anindya Islam urged them to carefully study the BNP’s election manifesto, noting, “It’s not merely a pledge, but a way of social contract with the people.”
“As the government has been formed with public mandate, that social contract has now become a state commitment,” he noted.
He called on relevant departments to implement the activities in line with the manifesto’s priority areas.
Representatives from various government offices attended the meeting with Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ashiq Hassan in the chair.
