CHATTOGRAM, Feb 17, 2026 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-7 arrested a 
fugitive convict sentenced to 17 years' imprisonment in a robbery case from 
Anwara upazila on Tuesday.

According to RAB officials, the arrested person is Md. Abdul Alim, 45, son of 
Musa Majhi of Kunirbil area under Anwara Police Station in Chattogram 
district.

RAB-7 conducted a drive in the Kunirbil area and apprehended him based on 
confidential information, said Assistant Director (Media) ARM Mozaffar 
Hossain.

He had been absconding after being sentenced in a robbery case filed with 
Anwara Police Station.

After the arrest, he was handed over to Anwara Police Station for further 
legal proceedings, the official added.
