DHAKA, Feb 16, 2026 (BSS)-The ACC today filed a case against ASP, Godagari
Circle, in Rajshahi, Mirza Md Abdus Salam and his wife Shahana Parveen for
acquiring assets beyond their known sources of income and concealing of
wealth information.
Assistant Director of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC)'s Public Relations
Department Md Tanzir Ahmed confirmed the news at its headquarters here.
The case was filed by Assistant Director Md Ismail Hossain of the ACC's
Integrated District Office in Rajshahi.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), following ACC instructions,
Shahana Parveen submitted her asset statement on August 18, 2024, declaring
movable and immovable assets worth about Taka 2.174 million. However,
verification found assets worth about Taka 9.516 million in her name
indicating concealment of assets amounting to Taka 7.342 million.
The ACC further stated that from the 2014-15 to 2024-25 fiscal years, her
lawful income was Taka worth about 7,14,000. During the same period,
including family expenditures, the total assets amounted to Taka 1,02,80,750.
As a result, assets inconsistent with known sources of income were found to
be Taka 95,66,750.
According to the ACC, ASP Mirza Md Abdus Salam, as a public servant, abused
his power and assisted his wife in acquiring assets through corrupt means.
