DHAKA, Feb 09, 2026 (BSS) – The government has issued a posting order for 244 newly recruited officers as Assistant Commissioners (ACs) in the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) administration cadre from the 44th BCS.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued the order following the Bangladesh Public Service Commission’s (BPSC) recommendation for appointment after the publication of the final results of the 44th BCS examination, according to a notification signed by Deputy Secretary Aminul Islam yesterday.

The notification said the appointed officers have been directed to join the divisional commissioners mentioned in the posting order.

It said the powers of Executive Magistrate have been delegated to the Assistant Commissioners upon joining.

The order, issued in the public interest, will come into effect immediately.

However, the notification said that the officers have been appointed as trainee Assistant Commissioners.
