DHAKA, Feb 08, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) today adjusted Jet A-1 (jet fuel) price upward for domestic and international airlines.
According to the regulatory commission circular issued today, the price of Jet A-1 fuel was increased by Taka 0.25 per litre to Taka 95.12 from Taka 94.93.
Besides, the BERC also increased the price for international airlines by $ 0.11 per litre to $ 0.6257 from $ 0.6246, it said.
According to the notification, the new pricing would come into effect from 12 midnight leading to February 8.
The BERC announced the price of jet fuel for the first time in May 2025 saying that jet fuel price would be adjusted with the international market every month.
The regulatory agency said considering the Platts Rate from January 5 to February 4 on an average, it adjusted upward the jet fuel price for February, 2026.
The BERC held a public hearing today in accordance with Sections 22 (Kha) and 34 of the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission Act, 2003.
