DHAKA, Feb 4, 2026 (BSS) - Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party has expressed deep shock at the demise of Nuruzzaman Badol, the 11-party alliance candidate for Sherpur-3 constituency in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad polls and secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Sherpur district unit.

In a joint condolence message issued on Wednesday, AB Party Chairman Mujibur Rahman Manju and its General Secretary Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

They also expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members, colleagues and well-wishers.

The AB Party leaders said Nuruzzaman Badol was known as a clean and dedicated organiser in the political arena, while his role in the anti-fascist movement and the struggle to establish democracy was undeniable.

They mentioned that his death is an irreplaceable loss in the political and social arena.

Nuruzzaman Badol passed away in the early hours of today at the age of 51.
