DHAKA, Feb 3, 2026 (BSS) - Charmonai Pir Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, Amir of Islami Andolan Bangladesh, has said that the primary objectives of Islamic governance are to ensure justice, peace and the security of the people.

Islamic principles help people live together peacefully in society, he said.

The Charmonai Pir made the remarks while delivering his speech as the chief guest at an electoral rally held today near WASA Bhaban, Kawran Bazar, Dhaka.

He noted that as the majority of Bangladeshis are Muslims, they expect the state to be guided by Islamic values and ethics. 

He added that Islamic governance takes a firm stand against corruption and irregularities, with the promotion of good governance as its central aim.

The Charmonai Pir further said that the country needs a moral and accountable administration to overcome long-standing crises and failures. 

He urged voters to support Islami Andolan Bangladesh in the upcoming election under the 'Hat Pakha' symbol.
