DHAKA, Feb 2, 2026 (BSS) - Barrister Zaima Rahman, daughter of BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, today held a dialogue titled ‘Tea Conversation’ with the youth at the DOHS playground in the city’s Mohakhali.
The Content Generation Team of the BNP Election Management Committee organized the event for creating direct dialogue between the national political voice and young generation voters.
In the 'Tea Conversation,' she went from table to table, seeking to learn about the thoughts, problems, and dreams of the youth.
She also listened to college and university students about their views on political awareness, voting rights, political participation on social media, and their thoughts on the future of Bangladesh. The youth spoke in detail about various problems, including the multiple crises in the country’s education system and institutions, air pollution in the capital, traffic congestion, and job issues. Zaima Rahman also shared her own opinions.
In her speech as the chief guest, Zaima Rahman expressing her concerns about cyber bullying in the online world. She said having laws alone is not enough to prevent cyber bullying; effective enforcement is needed.
Additionally, establishing offices of social media platforms in Bangladesh could largely solve this problem, she added.
Tarique Rahman’s daughter also spoke about the country's education system, saying, “If measures are taken from the primary level, it is possible to eliminate educational disparities between cities and villages.”
“At the higher education level, there should be practical activities or co-curricular systems beyond the main curriculum,” she added.
Expressing a positive view of the youth’s interest in working for the country, Zaima Rahman further said that it is necessary to provide platforms so that all people can participate in the work of nation-building.
