DHAKA, Feb 2, 2026 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today imposed a travel ban on four close aides of former managing director of NRB Global Bank and Reliance Finance Limited, Prashanta Kumar Haldar alias PK Haldar.

The restrained individuals are Mahbubul Haque, chairman of International Leasing and Financial Services Limited; Managing Director Emdadul Islam; Company Secretary Rezaul Islam; and Head of Recovery Abu Md Al Mamun.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz  issued the order following a petition by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). 

The application stated that an investigation team has been formed to probe money-laundering allegations against PK Haldar and his associates. 

According to reliable sources, the accused, being close aides and having vested interests, may flee abroad. The court imposed the travel ban to ensure a fair investigation.
