DHAKA, Feb 01, 2026 (BSS) – The Joint Forces led by the Bangladesh Army, since the announcement of the elections schedule of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS), detained 1,774 alleged criminals with 179 weapons and 1941 rounds of ammunitions from different areas across the country. 

During joint operations conducted from December 11, 2025 to February 1, 2026, the forces carried out separate drives across the country to maintain law and order and arrested the aforementioned individuals for their alleged involvement in criminal activities, an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release said today.
