DHAKA, Jan 31, 2026 (BSS) - Syeda Sharmila Rahman Sithi, wife of the late Arafat Rahman Koko -- the younger brother of BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman -- began campaigning today for the BNP-nominated candidate in the Dhaka-17 constituency, Tarique Rahman.

She launched her campaign in the afternoon with public outreach and leaflet distribution in front of Shahjadpur Subasto Najar Valley Market. Later, she continued her activities by visiting shops in the DNCC Market area of Gulshan, where she sought votes for Tarique Rahman.

Sharmila Rahman Sithi said, "Today I have come for Bhaiya (Tarique Rahman). Please pray for Bhaiya and vote for Bhaiya."

Barrister Mehenaz Mannan, wife of BNP leader Barrister Nasir Uddin, along with leaders and activists of the local BNP and its affiliated organizations, were present during the campaign activities.
