DHAKA, Jan 29, 2026 (BSS)- BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman’s Adviser and chief coordinator of the Dhaka-17 constituency election management committee Bir Muktijoddha Abdus Salam has said there is no alternative to BNP for securing the future of women and youths.
“To save the country from the politics of confusion and propaganda, the people must be conscious and take the right decision,” he said at a rally during campaign for Tarique Rahman, BNP candidate form Dhaka-17 constituency.
Abdus Salam said, “Taking advantage of confusion among people, a party is spreading propaganda to misguide people in their favour. They are trying to buy votes with money. Everyone must remain vigilant so that the common people are not misguided by them.”
He said Tarique Rahman has assumed the leadership of the party with massive public support. Insha'Allah, BNP will form the government, he said.
Pointing out the rehabilitation programme of Tarique Rahman for slum people, Abdus Salam said Begum Khaleda Zia had initiated the rehabilitation of slum people.
“Tarique Rahman has also announced that healthcare and education systems will be undertaken for all. Family cards will be introduced for mothers, so that the money is spent for the welfare of the family.”
Abdus Salam said working opportunities for women will shrink if certain parties come to power. On the other hand BNP wants to expand employment opportunities for women.
He said BNP believes in religion, but does not do politics with religion. Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman incorporated 'Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim' in the constitution,” he noted.
Abdus Salam said if BNP comes to power, the rule of law will be established. No one will be spared if they engage in extortion or wrongdoing, even if they are from the party. To become a leader, one must earn people's love, not through money,” he said.
