BHOLA, Jan 27, 2026 (BSS) - Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partho, candidate of the BNP-led alliance for the Bhola-1 constituency and Chairman of the Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP), today said that if elected, his top priority in parliament would be pushing for the long-awaited Bhola-Barisal Bridge.
Speaking at an election rally at Neyamatpur Secondary School field in South Dighaldi Union, he urged voters to support him under the 'Gorur Gari' symbol, promising to work for the development of Bhola's long-neglected population.
"Trust in BNP chairman Tarique Rahman. Voting for me on February 12 will ensure that the aspirations of the people of Bhola are represented in parliament," he said.
Barrister Partho cautioned voters against empty promises, adding, "I assure you, I will play a leading role in turning Bhola's long-cherished dream-the Bhola-Barisal Bridge-into reality."
The rally, chaired by Union BNP President Harun Dewan, drew large numbers of voters and was attended by district and local leaders of the BNP-BJP alliance.
